Akwa Ibom State Executive Council, this morning held a special session in honour of former governor of Old Cross River State, HE. Sen. Chief Dr. Donald Dick Etiebet, OFR.
Late Chief Etiebet was born in 1934 in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, he died after a protracted illness.
Chief Etiebet was a Senator during the Nigerian Second Republic (1979 – 1983). He was then elected governor of Cross River State, with Fidelis Ikogo Nnang as his deputy, holding this office from October to December 1983.
The council meeting presided over by Governor Udom Emmanuel had the Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo, Secretary to the State Government, Sir Etekamba Umoren, Commissioners and Family members of Late Donald Etiebet’s in attendance.
